The Scriptures say...

I was browsing quickly through Luke and my eye caught upon something...The temptation in the wilderness of Christ. I found it so interesting that the first two times the devil tempts Jesus...he simply tempts using his own ideas...and Jesus replies to both with Scripture...but the THIRD time...satan uses Scripture to try and trap Jesus. He tries to beat Jesus with his own words! As a Christian who has seen abuses of the Word of God used to perpetuate hateful ideas and actions.. I find this alarming! It puts a whole new urgency in my heart to rightly divide the Word of Truth.
